~ New Wares ~

I've just finished up adding a small batch of goodies to my web shoppe and wanted to show you one thing in particular, it's a cute little bench I talked husband into making....he makes stuff for me all the time and I keep telling him how much others would appreciate his work as well but he really dislikes the sanding part so it's been hard to convince him to make something for my shoppe....well his regular work has been slow lately and he's had some time on his hands soooooo....I got a couple of these really cute benches out of him, yay! LOL....have a great day everyone!

What a great little bench - lucky you! It is hard to convince them to build things sometimes, but I love it when we do. Have a great day, Dawn

Love the little benches Janet! My hubby is the opposite~~when he makes things it's to sell, and never has the time to make anything for me. I did get a special cupboard out of him, and now when he makes things for shows, I tell him to make what I want, and if it doesn't sell....it's MINE!! HEHE!! Take care~~Jackie

Hi Janet,

I have several lamp shades in that shape and they came from various local shops - years ago. None of them have websites that they sell from. Sorry!

I did paint the basket - it is a Longaberger. I put 2 very heavy coats of the Powell Buff on. Let it dry well, sanded some areas and then rubbed it with a walnut paste wax.

Hope that helps!

I gave the paint colors name in the blog - the top one is the one Kathy used. Sorry this is quick - hand hurts... hugs, Linda

LOL - Sorry!! It's the only paint in the house that isn't Ben Moore.

Someone else just asked the other day so chips are sitting right here..
Bottom is Caramel EB26-3
Top is Cabin Red EB38-1 - both from Lowe's signature Colors Eddie Bauer line - very nice paint!!

Janet, just love hearing from you. So, who do you think will be next on Idol? Maybe Anoop? I think Danny and Adam will hang in until the end, Danny being my favorite. Don't you just love some of the things I got yesterday? The antiques and handmades are my favorites and I'm so lucky to have such good "pickers" for me! Don't know what I'd do without them, I have no extra time to be out looking. I think I'm going to have to bring the green metal lamp home with me tonight though, I just love it. Wish you lived closer and could come visit but thanks for all the encouragement! Dawn
