Looking Forward to Laundry????

Never in my day did I ever think I'd be looking forward to doing someone's laundry! Let me explain....my youngest, who moved out a month ago, has been coming over every other Sunday to get his laundry done and so far, that is the only time I see him! So lo and behold, I am looking forward to doing his laundry every other Sunday! LOL....I did however ask him if he is missing anything about living at home and his reply was that he misses, "not paying rent and living close to work"....hows that for a warm and fuzzy mood buster! LOL
On a more festive note, I am working on taking some pictures of the Christmas decor around my home and the above picture is of a favorite vignette this year....the candy canes and gingerbread men were made by Barbara Young of Turkey Hollow Folk Art, I just love her work!....I put them in a basket with some faux greens and berries and set it on a sideboard that sets in a corner of my family room....I think it looks quite charming!

What darling gingerbread people in that basket! So cute!

I know what you mean about being happy to see your son, even at the "price" of doing laundry! I actually really enjoy doing laundry, especially in the warmer months, since I hang everything on the line to dry...just a good feeling of old-time living, I guess...

I know how you feel Janet!! I have 2 gone from the nest now, and won't see either one this year for Christmas. I still have 3 at home to keep me busy, though, but when they are gone I don't know what I'll do! Enjoy your Sundays!! Jackie

Hi Janet ~~ So glad he is close enough to bring home the laundry. : -) I totally understand
how you feel. My youngest (25) came home from AZ for Christmas....and I'm beside myself with happiness. Mine even got a little mushy about being "back home" when he came in he said "now it feels and smells like Christmas".
As for us...once a MoM always a MoM I don't care how old they..or we get.
EnJoy your Family !!

Hi Janet....oh it won't be all that many years before your "family" will grow with new daughters and grandbabies - Moms and sons...such a strong bond! My daughter in law calls my son a "Mama's Boy" all the time....sweeter words I should never hear....LOL!! Love, Judy
