~ Picture Trail, New Mirror, and Craigslist ~

Well here is it Wednesday again, time flies whether you're having fun or not! LOL....one thing I have to report is that I updated my Picture Trail with pictures I've recently taken around my home of the displays I change out every season, the link is off to the right in the sidebar. I do have something new to show you that is pretty exciting for me because I have wanted it for quite some time now....it's a mirror for over my foyer table....a guy on ebay makes and sells them and I've had his link saved all this time. I had a Thomas Kinkade print there which I just sold on Craigslist, a nice young couple came and bought it for her Mom. Speaking of Craigslist, it is awful how many scammers are out there, I recently posted a few things for sale on it and you wouldn't believe how many emails I got from scammers! I had to put a message in my posts to tell scammers not to bother because I was onto their tricks! If you ever want to sell something on there, whatever you do, don't give anyone your address or phone number, offer to meet them in a public place and if it's something you can't bring with you in your car, let them follow you back to your place at that point because there are alot of people who don't even live in the U.S. who are looking for a U.S. address and/or phone number to sell or use in an unlawful way. Oh and did you know that there are counterfeit money orders and cashiers checks now?....that is a huge scam!....only accept cash! One of the biggest scams is out of area people will email you and tell you they want to purchase your item and that they will mail or wire you a bank draft aka a cashiers check or certified check and that as soon as you deposit it into your bank or cash it, they will have someone come and pick up the item from you....the thing is....the bank draft is counterfeit and not even your bank will know it!!....weeks later, after your item is gone, the bank doesn't get the funds and they will treat it like a bad check with all the fees attached as well!....can you imagine how horrible that would be especially for a high dollar item? Bottom line is only deal with local people who you can meet in person and pay you with cash and first meet them in a public place!....and even then you have to be very careful! Ok now I can show you my mirror.
I need to decide on what I want to hang on the pegs, there's a small shelf too which I just put a tealight on for now. And here's a look at it with the foyer table.
I've gone from liking white furniture to black furniture, oh well! LOL....I'm looking forward to watching "So You Think You Can Dance" this evening....I hope you all have a lovely day!

I love your mirror. What an awesome job he does. I've never bought or sold anything on Craig's list. Have a wonderful day.

Your new mirror is gorgeous, he does great work! I love the shelf on it too.

We have never used craigslist and I just stopped using freecycle because it was such a hassle, plus I don't care for strangers coming to our home. I donate everything to the local charities instead. We don't have nice expensive stuff to sell anyways. LOL

Hope you have a good day, I just found your blog and hope you don't mind that I "followed" you. :)

Your mirror looks great. It compliments your stand just perfectly. Black seems to be the in color these days. Personally I love black furniture. Have a great day.

I love the mirror!! I didn't know there was any other color except black...LOL

I've heard some really horrible stories about Craigslist so I don't even look for anything there nor would I ever sell on there! Thanks for the tips :)

The mirror looks great in black!!

Thanks for the heads up about Craigslist. I guess Paypal would be a safe way to go too

I love black furniture but I am starting to go toward some pretty creamy white pieces....but I did just paint my bottom kitchen cabinets black and I love them! My fireplace mantel is black also...I love both colors! lol

Hi Janet,
Ok...let me tell you about my brain-dead moment!! I looked at TerriBoog's picture-trail and your's last night. While in the middle of my drooling over your homes, we got some company and so when I got back to leaving you a comment...hours of time had passed and I was thinking that it was in your picture's that I saw the angel that looked like mine, but it was Terri's. So you can stop strainin' your brain...and I'll have to go find mine as I seem to have lost it!! LOL...
Hope you are having a wonderful day.
hugs, Cindy

Hi Janet :)
LOVE the mirror! It looks fabulous!
I have never bought/sold on craigslist...I'm afraid of weirdo's! LOL! ;)
I got a chuckle out of that comment ya left...about the pics not enlarging...it is random isn't it?! Jeepers, the one's I want to be able to click on to make bigger don't and the one's I DO NOT want to enlarge do! Usually the one's that have "dust" or "dust bunnies"...are ALWAYS the one's that enlarge too...LOL!

Have a great weekend.
