...I hope you enjoyed my little tour, thanks for visiting!Janet - underthewillowhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00846772534190432655noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5453056169436511435.post-43784151014733101232015-09-12T15:45:00.000-04:002015-09-12T15:45:36.409-04:00~ Happy Fall Y'all ~Well technically it's not yet Autumn for another week and a half but it seems like most of us do our decorating just after Labor Day and that's exactly what I did! I snapped a few pics and thought I would share :)<br />
<br />
Black Stepback Cupboard: the adorable little pumpkin head was made by Norma Schneeman, the beautiful hooked mat was made by Stephanie of Olde Colony Primitives, the wooden acorn mold was made by Art, her husband, the lovely pinkeep was made by Tina Woltman, and the festive mini poppies are available in my shoppe!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GG4WAhJ5HUM/VfR6HDrTxBI/AAAAAAAADAA/L2N_X9t1FgI/s1600/blackstepbackw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="250" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GG4WAhJ5HUM/VfR6HDrTxBI/AAAAAAAADAA/L2N_X9t1FgI/s320/blackstepbackw.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Fireplace: I just tossed a couple of pumpkins up here for a seasonal touch. The clip rush light is an item I sell in my shoppe as well as the sconces but in candle version. <br />
That concludes my Autumn 2015 tour. I completely forgot to post my summer pics! I've been concentrating on maintaining my recent weight loss of 120 lbs. I was on the Nutrisystem plan from January 2014 to June of this year. After reaching my goal weight, I am bound and determined not to gain it back as has happened in years past. It does take some doing, I keep track of every calorie that goes into my face LOL and I weigh on a digital scale every day in order to keep a very close eye on the situation! I think this time I've got it figured out! I am currently trying to work in a Pumpkin Spice Latte, those things have a lot of calories but what's Autumn without at least one! haha<br />

I have been as busy as all get out with orders from my shoppe and for that I am extremely grateful, it's just very difficult to get anything else done, but I did manage to finish my decorating and got nearly all of the presents wrapped, yay me! LOL<br />
<br />
Without further ado, here's an abbreviated version of my Christmas 2014 decorating pics...these and several more can be seen on my Picture Trail here: <a href="http://www.picturetrail.com/underthewillow">http://www.picturetrail.com/underthewillow</a><br />

This is in our living/family room:<br />

<br />
On the right side of the fireplace hearth sits this little boot bench that hubs made a few years ago...the hooked mat was made by Stephanie of Olde Colony Primitives, the wired holly by Norma Schneeman, the wee red box by Barb Kaufman, and the green Belsnickle Santa can be found in my shoppe!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Well here we are at autumn's doorstep and I couldn't be happier to have my favorite season, winter, right around the corner! I've completed my fall decorating and every year I fall in love all over again with the colors of this season. Here are a few pics I just snapped around the house:<br />
<br />
This bowl is the Salem Large Rustic Chopping Bowl that I sell. I have had mine on the coffee table for a number of years and have fun changing the display with the seasons. This Autumn I have some artificial pumpkins that I've had forever surrounded by the Bittersweet Garland I sell in my shoppe. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-m0efC6yxQs0/VAzRpIVi1FI/AAAAAAAACts/FDm_oq3fSaI/s1600/coffeetablew.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-m0efC6yxQs0/VAzRpIVi1FI/AAAAAAAACts/FDm_oq3fSaI/s1600/coffeetablew.jpg" height="215" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Also on the coffee table is the little Pennsylvania Knick Knack Tray that is new to my shoppe! I've just displayed a few candle nubs in mine. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CVBc6ZqiBfM/VAzRoyc2mDI/AAAAAAAACtk/-XSmUszdRi8/s1600/coffeetablekktrayw.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CVBc6ZqiBfM/VAzRoyc2mDI/AAAAAAAACtk/-XSmUszdRi8/s1600/coffeetablekktrayw.jpg" height="221" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I have this olde sieve hanging on the wall in the foyer and I put a different pinkeep in there for every season, this one was made by Jenny of Country Rustic Primitives.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-K7YCSOzLJPc/VAzRqEoEoJI/AAAAAAAACuE/Un6FlJnsYcQ/s1600/foyerwallw.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-K7YCSOzLJPc/VAzRqEoEoJI/AAAAAAAACuE/Un6FlJnsYcQ/s1600/foyerwallw.jpg" height="307" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This table is in our foyer...the tin lamp is the Charleston Lamp I sell but it is currently out of stock. Just below the lamp is a sweet little redware square with a pumpkin on it, it is available in my shoppe as is the Artificial Fall Boxwood that I have in the vase on the right.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xj_2okPOPnA/VAzRpk6lHII/AAAAAAAACt4/yh6GfFRQWzg/s1600/foyertabletopw.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xj_2okPOPnA/VAzRpk6lHII/AAAAAAAACt4/yh6GfFRQWzg/s1600/foyertabletopw.jpg" height="251" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
In my rocking chair, I've placed beautiful pumpkin pillows made by the lovely Barbara Young. The Tobacco Cloth curtains are available in my shoppe!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dwUUPz_t2Oc/VAzRqpy60lI/AAAAAAAACuQ/P0ePE7j0WMw/s1600/rockercornerw.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dwUUPz_t2Oc/VAzRqpy60lI/AAAAAAAACuQ/P0ePE7j0WMw/s1600/rockercornerw.jpg" height="320" width="232" /></a></div>
<br />
On the black stepback cupboard in the living room I have an adorable little pumpkin head that was made by Norma Schneeman, the beautiful hooked mat was made by Stephanie of Olde Colony Primitives, the wooden acorn mold was made by Art, her husband, the lovely pinkeep was made by Tina Woltman, and the festive mini poppies are available in my shoppe!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DPKkXiH5G2g/VAzRo1XkrpI/AAAAAAAACuw/CpPeHVB9ITI/s1600/blackstepbackw.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DPKkXiH5G2g/VAzRo1XkrpI/AAAAAAAACuw/CpPeHVB9ITI/s1600/blackstepbackw.jpg" height="250" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This primitive stepback cupboard sits in the breakfast nook. The doll hanging on the left was made by Jackie of T.F.C. Folk Art...the other items I've had for so long and do not recall where I got them or who made them unfortunately. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ACW4upEZI_0/VAzRqTaz_EI/AAAAAAAACuM/478n4Sth1gI/s1600/primitivestepbackw.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ACW4upEZI_0/VAzRqTaz_EI/AAAAAAAACuM/478n4Sth1gI/s1600/primitivestepbackw.jpg" height="320" width="233" /></a></div>
<br />
On the olde wash stand in the living room, pinkeeps made by many talented ladies fill an olde wooden bowl.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DPKkXiH5G2g/VAzRo1XkrpI/AAAAAAAACuw/CpPeHVB9ITI/s1600/blackstepbackw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-h8ZxpavQOaE/VAzRqxb9uEI/AAAAAAAACuc/FdBwn6rIb50/s1600/washstandw.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-h8ZxpavQOaE/VAzRqxb9uEI/AAAAAAAACuc/FdBwn6rIb50/s1600/washstandw.jpg" height="260" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
On a cabinet that hubs made, we call it the Folk Art cabinet, I have a couple Treenware pumpkins and a grouping of hog scrapers painted white. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--OM9qKUJDEo/VAzRph5fIII/AAAAAAAACuA/01t2_o0_Otk/s1600/folkartcabtopw.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--OM9qKUJDEo/VAzRph5fIII/AAAAAAAACuA/01t2_o0_Otk/s1600/folkartcabtopw.jpg" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The little dough box table was also made by hubs, I've displayed some redware pieces, a couple handpainted boxes from my shoppe, and the Treenware pitcher and sunflowers are also from my shoppe. If you follow my seasonal updates you may notice that I kept this area the same from summer!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-o5zaR7PXrLw/VAzRpebpGKI/AAAAAAAACtw/XGgiT_u6T9Q/s1600/doughboxtablew.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-o5zaR7PXrLw/VAzRpebpGKI/AAAAAAAACtw/XGgiT_u6T9Q/s1600/doughboxtablew.jpg" height="232" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This little boot bench was also made by hubs, it sits on the fireplace hearth. On it I've displayed a fabulous cross stitched pillow that I bought a couple of years ago from Pam of Primitive Basketcase, along with a Salem pumpkin and an antique candleholder with one of my Pumpkin Patch Tapers that are available in my shoppe!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7F15rLKLbf4/VAzRo22FHbI/AAAAAAAACtg/UnN0JIezq8o/s1600/bootbenchw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7F15rLKLbf4/VAzRo22FHbI/AAAAAAAACtg/UnN0JIezq8o/s1600/bootbenchw.jpg" height="263" width="320" /></a></div>

For summer I like to decorate with an Americana theme as well as faux and handmade berries and also lavender. We have a real lavender bush in our front yard and it blooms like crazy during the summer. The flowers smell so good but boy oh boy does it ever have big black bumble bees on it all day long!! Here are a few pics I just snapped around the house:<br />
<br />
This is on the breakfast nook table...everything in this display is available in my shoppe except for the antique checkerboard! :) <br />

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9_Vr8LUxX4U/U5IBffJClgI/AAAAAAAACrY/DhSLkE2iccQ/s1600/blackstepbackfullw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9_Vr8LUxX4U/U5IBffJClgI/AAAAAAAACrY/DhSLkE2iccQ/s1600/blackstepbackfullw.jpg" height="301" width="320" /></a></div>
a closer look at what I have displayed on the black stepback...the hooked mat was made by Stephanie of Olde Colony Primitives and the little red flowers are available in my shoppe!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oIIu8DFim3I/U5IBfcsUYZI/AAAAAAAACs4/1lyDurwBni4/s1600/blackstepbackclosew.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oIIu8DFim3I/U5IBfcsUYZI/AAAAAAAACs4/1lyDurwBni4/s1600/blackstepbackclosew.jpg" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
I call this piece of furniture the folk art cabinet, it is one of my favorite pieces made by hubs...I loved my lavender display from last year so much that I've done it exactly the same this year!...the lavender in the tin pitcher is available in my shoppe as is the lovely little pillar candle!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cNR5LrgGOn4/U5IBiSrn1UI/AAAAAAAACr0/jdNqVjAxw58/s1600/folkartcabw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cNR5LrgGOn4/U5IBiSrn1UI/AAAAAAAACr0/jdNqVjAxw58/s1600/folkartcabw.jpg" height="262" width="320" /></a></div>
In this final display I have faux berries, an antique basket, and a pinkeep made by me from a Stacy Nash pattern.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Ready or not here we go!<br />
<br />
Here is a little table that sits next to the front door:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ivo_NKeNjnY/UzpJHuGM0ZI/AAAAAAAACqg/_FDzqsuEGqo/s1600/entrytablew.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ivo_NKeNjnY/UzpJHuGM0ZI/AAAAAAAACqg/_FDzqsuEGqo/s1600/entrytablew.jpg" height="320" width="235" /></a></div>
<br />
On a foyer wall hangs this sifter in which I always display a seasonal pinkeep, this one was made by me from a Primitive Betty Freebie pattern:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-253-Zvg2e8k/UzpJDTdCCMI/AAAAAAAACp0/r2VgTrvKv5Q/s1600/foyerwallw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-253-Zvg2e8k/UzpJDTdCCMI/AAAAAAAACp0/r2VgTrvKv5Q/s1600/foyerwallw.jpg" height="297" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is a table that sits in the foyer. The Charleston Lamp is an item offered in my shoppe. The handmades are from Pam, Jenn, Barbara, Jackie, and Lori:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9w7s0GGfp4A/UzpJCUEm3dI/AAAAAAAACpg/QzTEAABbKck/s1600/foyertabletopw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9w7s0GGfp4A/UzpJCUEm3dI/AAAAAAAACpg/QzTEAABbKck/s1600/foyertabletopw.jpg" height="253" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
A full view of the foyer table:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0py9xzHWPU8/UzpJCwaGAQI/AAAAAAAACpc/onGKug-_pCI/s1600/foyertablew.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0py9xzHWPU8/UzpJCwaGAQI/AAAAAAAACpc/onGKug-_pCI/s1600/foyertablew.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Perhaps my favorite piece of furniture made by the hubs is what I call my folk art cabinet and this is what I have displayed on it currently. Most items are antique store finds but the tulips were an ebay purchase from a couple of years ago and the little chalkware bunnies were made by Maureen of Buckbrush Farm:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CUaDGHDVuzo/UzpJCJh68ZI/AAAAAAAACpM/niVO2xXQ9mI/s1600/folkartcabtopw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CUaDGHDVuzo/UzpJCJh68ZI/AAAAAAAACpM/niVO2xXQ9mI/s1600/folkartcabtopw.jpg" height="259" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I changed a few things in my coffee table bowl for spring. The pinkeeps and hooked mat were made by Stephanie of Olde Colony Primitives, the rabbit was made by Jenn of Rabbit Hill Primitives, and the Precious Pansy Picks are available in my shoppe as well as the Large Rustic Chopping Bowl:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8UJtWOz9Ar8/UzpJBdJhPPI/AAAAAAAACpY/PDJhl0YYDow/s1600/coffeetablebowlw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8UJtWOz9Ar8/UzpJBdJhPPI/AAAAAAAACpY/PDJhl0YYDow/s1600/coffeetablebowlw.jpg" height="227" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The fireplace:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DJba4d2ytIs/UzpJEbTLSSI/AAAAAAAACqE/C1CFvpV3FOk/s1600/fpw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DJba4d2ytIs/UzpJEbTLSSI/AAAAAAAACqE/C1CFvpV3FOk/s1600/fpw.jpg" height="320" width="238" /></a></div>
<br />
The fireplace mantel...the turned wood onion bottles were made by Don and Pat of Olde Bittersweet Farm and the candle rod is from Misi of 1890 Gable House Goodes:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cEyCvix9x38/UzpJEc0AzlI/AAAAAAAACp8/M2LC4iyAW2c/s1600/fpmantelw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cEyCvix9x38/UzpJEc0AzlI/AAAAAAAACp8/M2LC4iyAW2c/s1600/fpmantelw.jpg" height="231" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This little boot bench that sits on the fireplace hearth is another "made by the hubs" piece LOL...for spring I created this display using items that are all availalbe in my shoppe!...these are mine but I did leave some for you ;)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Uy0YIzsXL9U/UzpJDuw6L8I/AAAAAAAACps/wCY7TNGxzks/s1600/fpbootbenchw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Uy0YIzsXL9U/UzpJDuw6L8I/AAAAAAAACps/wCY7TNGxzks/s1600/fpbootbenchw.jpg" height="217" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This olde washstand sits to the left of the fireplace and for spring I've dressed it with a Chamberstick Candleholder and Easy Breezy Blooms from my shoppe:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hb0tHG_ouNs/UzpJFUCK6JI/AAAAAAAACqY/1WpbKdy-PWk/s1600/washstandw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hb0tHG_ouNs/UzpJFUCK6JI/AAAAAAAACqY/1WpbKdy-PWk/s1600/washstandw.jpg" height="268" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The black stepback cupboard that the hubs made several years ago is a favorite piece of furniture. Hanging on the doors are the English Lavender Bouquets and the Adjustable Iron Trammel which are both available in my shoppe:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jeZZ_juxTnc/UzpJA_E4y_I/AAAAAAAACow/x2Ydw5oqDtw/s1600/blackstepbackfullw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jeZZ_juxTnc/UzpJA_E4y_I/AAAAAAAACow/x2Ydw5oqDtw/s1600/blackstepbackfullw.jpg" height="320" width="187" /></a></div>
<br />
A close up of the black stepback cupboard gives you a better look at the wonderful hooked mat I recently purchased, it was made by Stephanie of Olde Colony Primitives. The red Wispy Wildflowers are available in my shoppe:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wu8ftKOqMBk/UzpJA9VazoI/AAAAAAAACo4/OrEgkRdrrOE/s1600/blackstepbackw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wu8ftKOqMBk/UzpJA9VazoI/AAAAAAAACo4/OrEgkRdrrOE/s1600/blackstepbackw.jpg" height="236" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
On the breakfast nook table sits a very olde checkerboard that is a prized antique find and on it for spring I have a sweet bunny that was made by Lori of Homespuns by Lori along with a Hog Scraper Candlestick from my shoppe and in the brown crock I have some Spring Boxwood Shrubs that are also available in my shoppe:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Mm29P-QX8qM/UzpJE_nFlOI/AAAAAAAACqI/HoiFcihg-tA/s1600/nooktablew.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Mm29P-QX8qM/UzpJE_nFlOI/AAAAAAAACqI/HoiFcihg-tA/s1600/nooktablew.jpg" height="281" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Also in the breakfast nook is this very primitive antique stepback cupboard:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7owFH0hC8tQ/UzpJFGZukPI/AAAAAAAACqU/10rA008R3T4/s1600/primitivestepbackw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7owFH0hC8tQ/UzpJFGZukPI/AAAAAAAACqU/10rA008R3T4/s1600/primitivestepbackw.jpg" height="320" width="274" /></a></div>
<br />
Last but not least, another springtime display atop a small doughbox table the hubs made. I hope you enjoyed the tour!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QPAVqhqb8rg/UzpJBYTWe3I/AAAAAAAACpA/S_F2jAW6sp4/s1600/doughboxtablew.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QPAVqhqb8rg/UzpJBYTWe3I/AAAAAAAACpA/S_F2jAW6sp4/s1600/doughboxtablew.jpg" height="251" width="320" /></a></div>

*FYI* after I made this post I noticed that the new Blogger format must have compressed my photos in such a way that has altered their appearance so they don't look as good here as they do on my computer, sorry about that! <br />
<br />
<br />
Things have been quite busy here UnderTheWillow but I did manage to find the time to do a little bit of autumn decorating. It's not nearly as much as I usually do but I hope you will enjoy my photos nonetheless.<br />
<br />
I always like to point out which items are sold in my shoppe just in case something speaks to you and you just gotta have it, I know how that is!<br />
<br />
This first picture is what I'm displaying on the black stepback cupboard in the family room. The yummy candle is available in my shoppe! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LbEfnUVaWZc/Ukt1b3zIdqI/AAAAAAAACgI/rgExNABXkSo/s1600/blackstepbackclosew.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LbEfnUVaWZc/Ukt1b3zIdqI/AAAAAAAACgI/rgExNABXkSo/s320/blackstepbackclosew.jpg" height="242" width="320" /></a></div>
Next picture is of the bowl that I keep on the coffee table, it is the Treenware Large Rustic Chopping Bowl that I sell, it's just the right size and I really enjoy changing what I display in it with every season. This time I've filled it with awesome handmade pinkeeps from many different talented ladies. The table runner is also something that is available in my shoppe. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VSEL2e-Gwgw/Ukt1b814NhI/AAAAAAAACgM/-U1yLvT7vwY/s1600/coffeetablew.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VSEL2e-Gwgw/Ukt1b814NhI/AAAAAAAACgM/-U1yLvT7vwY/s320/coffeetablew.jpg" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
Here is a picture of the fireplace, I've just placed a couple of pumpkins on the mantel and on the lap of the Schneeman doll. The little black boot bench is decorated and the next picture is a closer look at that. <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
On the boot bench I've got a fabulous cross stitched pillow that I bought last year from Pam (Primitive Basketcase), the Corn Cob LED Taper in the Teacup Candle Holder are both items sold in my shoppe as are the Winter Boxwood Shrubs I have in the olde basket. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5g9-SSKTcYA/Ukt1b1rkwAI/AAAAAAAACgQ/kApCQHu1KkY/s1600/fireplacebootbenchw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5g9-SSKTcYA/Ukt1b1rkwAI/AAAAAAAACgQ/kApCQHu1KkY/s320/fireplacebootbenchw.jpg" height="259" width="320" /></a></div>
This next picture is of the display I have on top of a cabinet that hubs made a few years ago, I call it my Folk Art Cabinet. I've got the Artificial Fall Boxwood that is sold in my shoppe in a lovely white basket made by Pam (Primitive Basketcase), the doll is one of my all time faves, it was made by Lori (Homespun Prims By Lori), and the other things are just some of my favorite antiques picked up here and there over the years. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0S-22LMQOw4/Ukt1cQDSNQI/AAAAAAAACgw/nJfO2bCRROI/s1600/folkartcabw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0S-22LMQOw4/Ukt1cQDSNQI/AAAAAAAACgw/nJfO2bCRROI/s320/folkartcabw.jpg" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
This table is in our foyer...the tin lamp is the Charleston Lamp I sell but it is currently out of stock. Just below the lamp is a sweet little redware square with a pumpkin on it, it is available in my shoppe as well. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UtZMdYpbd5Y/Ukt1cbVdeXI/AAAAAAAACgs/29FAWfw4sTw/s1600/foyertablew.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UtZMdYpbd5Y/Ukt1cbVdeXI/AAAAAAAACgs/29FAWfw4sTw/s320/foyertablew.jpg" height="284" width="320" /></a></div>
Lastly, this is the olde wash stand table that sits to the left of the fireplace. I've got one of the Artificial Fall Boxwoods in the pitcher and in the bowl I've got some of the Dried Pumpkin Chunks that are available in my shoppe. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-73grNEKrBtQ/UdHYR58pQoI/AAAAAAAACfo/aXviYv9OJ64/s650/makedo1w.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-73grNEKrBtQ/UdHYR58pQoI/AAAAAAAACfo/aXviYv9OJ64/s320/makedo1w.jpg" height="320" width="256" /></a></div>
She takes an antique ladderback chair, adds wood to the sides and back, then covers it in scrumptious old fabric. This one is done in solid chocolate brown linen, and she has even custom made a cushion for the seat!...here is what the seat of the antique ladderback looks like without the cushion:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RL7XvN0tgDQ/UdHYSO653DI/AAAAAAAACfU/EmpWqCdhZP8/s650/makedoseatw.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RL7XvN0tgDQ/UdHYSO653DI/AAAAAAAACfU/EmpWqCdhZP8/s320/makedoseatw.jpg" height="320" width="313" /></a></div>
If you have ever tried to get one of her chairs during her Picture Trail updates, you will know how fast they sell out so this will be a treat to someone out there who hasn't been able to get one! The measurements of the chair are 18" wide, 16" deep, and 46" tall...it sits up nice and straight and also looks lovely with a woven textile of some sort draped over the back, a placemat or table runner is what I have used<br />
<br />
view from the side:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I am asking $289 for this chair, which is slightly less than what she usually charges for them, payment to be made through PayPal, and the shipping will be by way of Fedex. It will probably cost around $65 to ship, maybe a little more, maybe a little less, depending on how far you are from me here in Virginia...if you'd like a shipping quote, please leave me a message here with your zip code and an email address where I can reach you, thank you! ***CHAIR HAS BEEN SOLD, THANK YOU!***<br />

Happy Flag Day!...well I certainly have gotten lazy with my blogging!...haven't read any blogs for so long let alone post! I did a wee bit of summer decorating the other day and it dawned on me that there still might be some folks out there who'd like to see some pics so here they are!<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is my coffee table bowl, the artificial lavender is available in my shoppe as is the large rustic chopping bowl!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Bi-a3cHHTzU/UbvGj1bDW_I/AAAAAAAACdw/jUZ5afE7so0/s1600/coffeetablew.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Bi-a3cHHTzU/UbvGj1bDW_I/AAAAAAAACdw/jUZ5afE7so0/s320/coffeetablew.jpg" height="227" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
In the foyer/entry way, I have this sieve that hangs on the wall and I change out the pinkeep with every season...this one was made by me from a Country Rustic Primitives pattern I think? <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RTiGNOVbjGk/UbvGjzLgdbI/AAAAAAAACd0/NDacagdSwVA/s1600/entrypinkeepw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RTiGNOVbjGk/UbvGjzLgdbI/AAAAAAAACd0/NDacagdSwVA/s320/entrypinkeepw.jpg" height="279" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I adore lavender...love the color, the smell, and how it looks...I don't, however love that it attracts big huge bumble bees!...so I prefer to enjoy the artificial variety indoors and burn a lavender scented candle! LOL <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bPOY_n6hBbM/UbvGkbuA6sI/AAAAAAAACeU/bY5A_1h9SIc/s1600/folkartcablftw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bPOY_n6hBbM/UbvGkbuA6sI/AAAAAAAACeU/bY5A_1h9SIc/s320/folkartcablftw.jpg" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I found this little lavender crock several years ago while out antiquing...the artificial lavender in this picture is what's currently available in my shoppe as is the sweet bloom candle and the little iron bowl it is sitting in!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RBgPaP6soZQ/UbvGkXPAdQI/AAAAAAAACeA/2VbN20-okGA/s1600/folkartcabrtw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RBgPaP6soZQ/UbvGkXPAdQI/AAAAAAAACeA/2VbN20-okGA/s320/folkartcabrtw.jpg" height="248" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Here is what my lavender display looks like as a whole. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XoeP1kOMdJE/UbvGkr_VMyI/AAAAAAAACeI/AHvFEpQVNo8/s1600/folkartcabw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XoeP1kOMdJE/UbvGkr_VMyI/AAAAAAAACeI/AHvFEpQVNo8/s320/folkartcabw.jpg" height="262" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I added a Flag and an Americana themed pinkeep to the primitive stepback. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ON0qvjo1epg/UbvGkwYNMCI/AAAAAAAACeQ/b308YCmzRxk/s1600/primitivestepbackw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ON0qvjo1epg/UbvGkwYNMCI/AAAAAAAACeQ/b308YCmzRxk/s320/primitivestepbackw.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
I kept this display the same, just added some hand made strawberries to the bowl...I've had them a very long time and don't recall exactly who made them!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ReS3N9byRRI/UbvGlBgIU8I/AAAAAAAACec/90wmdedQFWE/s1600/washstandw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ReS3N9byRRI/UbvGlBgIU8I/AAAAAAAACec/90wmdedQFWE/s320/washstandw.jpg" height="255" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
and last but not least my Patriotic display...more of my collection of hand made strawberries made by so many wonderful artisans!...the USA pinkeep I believe was made by Tina...the red geraniums, the Flags, and the half gallon dry measure are all available in my shoppe!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qFChacaiuHQ/UbvKnW0KHiI/AAAAAAAACe0/6SQjdoYuktg/s1600/bootbenchw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qFChacaiuHQ/UbvKnW0KHiI/AAAAAAAACe0/6SQjdoYuktg/s320/bootbenchw.jpg" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Have a great weekend!!<br />

<br />
this is the primitive stepback cupboard that is in our breakfast nook, the hanging doll was made by Jackie of T.F.C. Folk Art and the sitting doll was made by Karen:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ro3BeLvY_Mk/UVpGWClCpUI/AAAAAAAACa8/r5gQPipxXOM/s1600/primitivestepbackw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ro3BeLvY_Mk/UVpGWClCpUI/AAAAAAAACa8/r5gQPipxXOM/s320/primitivestepbackw.jpg" height="320" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
this grouping is on a little dough box table that hubs made a couple of years ago...the woven placemat, wispy wildflowers, and iron clip rush light, are all available in my shoppe...the crock and the metal basket holding the pots are things I purchased several years ago while antiquing:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Bw_VCV1Z77I/UVpIb_M3C6I/AAAAAAAACbQ/m43fQMwJV58/s1600/asyouenter1w.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Bw_VCV1Z77I/UVpIb_M3C6I/AAAAAAAACbQ/m43fQMwJV58/s320/asyouenter1w.jpg" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
on the coffee table sits the large rustic chopping bowl from my shoppe...I enjoy changing the display with every season...the pinkeep was made by Pam of Primitive Basketcase a couple of years ago, it's a spring time favorite...the petite tulip bundle in the flame color is available in my shoppe as well as the woven table runner:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Nca3ckGJcYw/UVpP517FK5I/AAAAAAAACb0/Q559fAZxn1Q/s1600/coffeetablebowlw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Nca3ckGJcYw/UVpP517FK5I/AAAAAAAACb0/Q559fAZxn1Q/s320/coffeetablebowlw.jpg" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
the fireplace:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LCZjlYUu0PI/UVpJNWNZVZI/AAAAAAAACbk/JvxkENjAw2Q/s1600/fireplacew.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LCZjlYUu0PI/UVpJNWNZVZI/AAAAAAAACbk/JvxkENjAw2Q/s320/fireplacew.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
on one of the end tables I have two potted pansies from my shoppe in a Longaberger basket that I've had for several years...the tin cone is something I bought from an antique shoppe a few years ago: <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jP0d1w0cR9k/UVpRPxNowzI/AAAAAAAACcA/ZoAk2p1AhKE/s1600/endtable2w.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jP0d1w0cR9k/UVpRPxNowzI/AAAAAAAACcA/ZoAk2p1AhKE/s320/endtable2w.jpg" height="262" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />

<br />
a pinkeep I made a couple of years ago:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-q-J2ajOBnMA/UVpShiEPJUI/AAAAAAAACcQ/e7UahYgnsxc/s1600/tuliptimew.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-q-J2ajOBnMA/UVpShiEPJUI/AAAAAAAACcQ/e7UahYgnsxc/s320/tuliptimew.jpg" height="295" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
the black stepback cupboard that hubs made a good number of years ago is a favorite piece of furniture...the trammel hanging on the right door is something that is available in my shoppe as are the english lavender bouquets that are hanging on the left door...the wispy wildflowers in the wooden box are also available as are the woven textiles both on the doors and on the blanket crane (which hubs also made) to the left:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3Yt16XOZmMA/UVpSuuY0C-I/AAAAAAAACcY/2h6EOINC2r4/s1600/blackstepbackfullw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3Yt16XOZmMA/UVpSuuY0C-I/AAAAAAAACcY/2h6EOINC2r4/s320/blackstepbackfullw.jpg" height="301" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
and lastly, on the olde washstand that sits to the left of the fireplace, I have a crock filled with some easy breezy blooms from my shoppe, they're new and I really like them!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-WeKnrRPKctM/UVpUBayFJ0I/AAAAAAAACco/KjvuRu3wM70/s1600/washstandw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-WeKnrRPKctM/UVpUBayFJ0I/AAAAAAAACco/KjvuRu3wM70/s320/washstandw.jpg" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>

I can't believe it's been this long since I posted something to my blog. I've been preoccupied with my beloved feline daughter Katie, she's been having health issues since October, something is amiss in her throat. She had surgery, in January, to remove a mass, which was diagnosed as a granuloma, yet her condition remains unchanged. She seems otherwise normal but her voice has changed dramatically and it appears to be uncomfortable for her to purr. She gulps constantly and coughs occasionally when purring so I know there's an irritation there. I keep hoping that her body will heal itself and that she will get back to normal, I do love her so.<br />
<br />
I've also become quite obsessed with Pandora jewelry, collecting charms and creating bracelets, a pricey addiction it is! This weekend though I'm concentrating on completing my seasonal decorating so I should have some more pictures to post in the coming days. This is what I've done thus far:<br />
<br />
atop a cabinet that sits in the family room:<br />

Time just keeps on truckin' doesn't it? Tonight I'll be doing what I do most every New Years Eve and that is watch the ball drop in Times Square on tv and toast a glass of anything with my hubs. My wish for us all is for 2013 to be a year filled with good health, happiness, love, and good fortune. Hello blog buds...well I'm finally getting around to posting this year's Christmas decorating pics, better late than never, right? I wasn't able to decorate quite as much this year because the week before Thanksgiving I had a fairly bad fall...took a tumble in a parking lot, OUCH!!...sprained my right ankle and tore up both knees, my left one was especially busted up and bloody, not to mention the body soreness that followed and today I'm still sore and my left knee joint is really bothering me, but forge on we must! Here are this year's pics:</div>

Lots-O-Pics!!The Johnston Benchworks chair that I ordered back in April has FINALLY arrived and I can now call our bedroom redo DONE!!!...I'll start at the beginning but first here's the long awaited chair and ottoman...the fabric is Lover's Knot in what they call "Shell/Linen".<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ELZiap1LGF4/UG9LxxT0UKI/AAAAAAAACPc/76Y5mU4bvVA/s1600/JBchairw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ELZiap1LGF4/UG9LxxT0UKI/AAAAAAAACPc/76Y5mU4bvVA/s320/JBchairw.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
My inspiration for the color palette came from one of my favorite decorating books called "Jessie Walker's Country Decorating".<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rTllxyTYWcQ/UG9M_555SRI/AAAAAAAACPs/sfZZFW_a4Ag/s1600/Picture-004.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="301" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rTllxyTYWcQ/UG9M_555SRI/AAAAAAAACPs/sfZZFW_a4Ag/s320/Picture-004.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I love the monochromatic look of the neutrals with just a bit of black.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-z2L9AJXUaT8/UG9M9Zbz8WI/AAAAAAAACPk/AHwPQAnXhos/s1600/Picture-002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-z2L9AJXUaT8/UG9M9Zbz8WI/AAAAAAAACPk/AHwPQAnXhos/s320/Picture-002.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
We got new carpet and painted the room in Benjamin Moore's Powell Buff:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3v2Q51yBAxI/UG9R-Nw3g9I/AAAAAAAACQc/v9J5fLVorQw/s1600/newcarpetpaintw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="316" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3v2Q51yBAxI/UG9R-Nw3g9I/AAAAAAAACQc/v9J5fLVorQw/s320/newcarpetpaintw.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Here's how our bedroom looked before:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_PY05mkbk6o/UG9SPXYlN6I/AAAAAAAACQk/akJ5v5qmcjo/s1600/bedroombeforew.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_PY05mkbk6o/UG9SPXYlN6I/AAAAAAAACQk/akJ5v5qmcjo/s320/bedroombeforew.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Here's how it looks now:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zAkPf-MBd10/UG9SijBCWmI/AAAAAAAACQs/7i7XukhyD8U/s1600/bed2bw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zAkPf-MBd10/UG9SijBCWmI/AAAAAAAACQs/7i7XukhyD8U/s320/bed2bw.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
We had a cream armoire and matching headboard that the hubs really liked so I agreed to keep them...well sort of :::G::: the armoire has stayed the same but the headboard has taken on a new look! Here's how it looked before:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UGZJRRHSxZk/UG9QsPcEo3I/AAAAAAAACQE/YslJ6hWz04A/s1600/headboardbeforew.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="246" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UGZJRRHSxZk/UG9QsPcEo3I/AAAAAAAACQE/YslJ6hWz04A/s320/headboardbeforew.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
We were able to repurpose it by cutting out the center section and building a new one to insert:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3dN20Py-ins/UG9Q2wB-LKI/AAAAAAAACQM/lzE0lt8ye3s/s1600/headboardinprogressw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="210" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3dN20Py-ins/UG9Q2wB-LKI/AAAAAAAACQM/lzE0lt8ye3s/s320/headboardinprogressw.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Then it got painted black and aged, we were both pleased with the results:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-d7Z_d6FwRVM/UG9RRcOrquI/AAAAAAAACQU/JxW5SiW_5o8/s1600/headboardafterw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-d7Z_d6FwRVM/UG9RRcOrquI/AAAAAAAACQU/JxW5SiW_5o8/s320/headboardafterw.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
The bench at the foot of the bed got painted black as well and that was all the black I wanted in the room:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UTUs9HFcwQ0/UG9Sx3i84BI/AAAAAAAACQ0/BWsmkM-Bqbg/s1600/bedroom5w.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UTUs9HFcwQ0/UG9Sx3i84BI/AAAAAAAACQ0/BWsmkM-Bqbg/s320/bedroom5w.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I used the same linen coverlet that I had before but changed the coverlet at the foot and got new long tailed shams and accessory pillows, all are from Family Heirloom Weavers in their Antique White and Linen...the lovely basket at the foot was made by Pam and I've filled it with various textiles:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1AqQ1URFvj4/UG9TfEcpvXI/AAAAAAAACQ8/ZJfzMDnAzJM/s1600/bed1w.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="258" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1AqQ1URFvj4/UG9TfEcpvXI/AAAAAAAACQ8/ZJfzMDnAzJM/s320/bed1w.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
The window treatments match the coverlet at the foot only in the reverse color, it is the Angstadt pattern from Family Heirloom Weavers in Linen and Antique White...the candelabra is something I offer in my web shoppe and the basket was also made by Pam, it matches the one at the foot of the bed:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9KWBriwtxpg/UG9Tzi_uQ-I/AAAAAAAACRE/OiQHQJzTuAo/s1600/windowtreatments2w.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9KWBriwtxpg/UG9Tzi_uQ-I/AAAAAAAACRE/OiQHQJzTuAo/s320/windowtreatments2w.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
The blanket chest or mule chest, as some may call it, is made from reclaimed barnwood and is one of the pieces I offer on my website, it's FABULOUS...the paint color I chose for it is called Tobacco:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8Dg7-aiyeTs/UG9Uu-0ua8I/AAAAAAAACRM/FGu2i_JIFyw/s1600/bedroom2w.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="229" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8Dg7-aiyeTs/UG9Uu-0ua8I/AAAAAAAACRM/FGu2i_JIFyw/s320/bedroom2w.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I added some wonderful olde antiques to the room as well:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2pG2chz8YhY/UG9YowEPtAI/AAAAAAAACRk/1AnRMeNCDE8/s1600/bedroomantiques2w.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="286" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2pG2chz8YhY/UG9YowEPtAI/AAAAAAAACRk/1AnRMeNCDE8/s320/bedroomantiques2w.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
When I found the olde plantation desk, it was so dry and pitiful looking but nothing that a coat of Tudor Brown Briwax couldn't cure...love the square cut nails:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-095lMJACBh8/UG9ZBwXuwNI/AAAAAAAACRs/yLSP2hCp7-U/s1600/oldedesk4w.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-095lMJACBh8/UG9ZBwXuwNI/AAAAAAAACRs/yLSP2hCp7-U/s320/oldedesk4w.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Hubs made the blanket crane for me, the antique wall cupboard was another special find, and the little portrait you see on the left was a gift from a special friend, Pat of Olde Bittersweet Farm painted that especially for me :)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eMq5_VHfRns/UG9Zn_VFzKI/AAAAAAAACR0/rMyuJlV-fbg/s1600/deskwallw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eMq5_VHfRns/UG9Zn_VFzKI/AAAAAAAACR0/rMyuJlV-fbg/s320/deskwallw.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
One of my favorite things in the room is this olde candle box, I have it hanging above my nightstand:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_k7CnOSKP0Q/UG9bJhVel8I/AAAAAAAACR8/GLFD4153bcA/s1600/bedsidecandleboxw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_k7CnOSKP0Q/UG9bJhVel8I/AAAAAAAACR8/GLFD4153bcA/s320/bedsidecandleboxw.jpg" width="316" /></a></div>
Speaking of nightstand, that is something that hubs made several years ago...it was originally painted green so that was a project I tackled using Caromal Colours paint...I used their "Barnworn" kit in "Putty" and "Parchment"<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RpBmwEKiYXw/UG9bvfpyPjI/AAAAAAAACSE/Kz4DhpUPNH0/s1600/nightstand1w.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RpBmwEKiYXw/UG9bvfpyPjI/AAAAAAAACSE/Kz4DhpUPNH0/s320/nightstand1w.jpg" width="233" /></a></div>
It is A LOT of work but does give the desired effect:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-C6BnMq62YOQ/UG9b0txfZSI/AAAAAAAACSM/HyV1NU5Fqw4/s1600/nightstand2w.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-C6BnMq62YOQ/UG9b0txfZSI/AAAAAAAACSM/HyV1NU5Fqw4/s320/nightstand2w.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I also did the drysink that hubs made with the same kit:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-maNoodU4ik0/UG9cGYKo_3I/AAAAAAAACSU/G9k4jyGmKFc/s1600/drysink1w.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-maNoodU4ik0/UG9cGYKo_3I/AAAAAAAACSU/G9k4jyGmKFc/s320/drysink1w.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
It'll be a LOOONG time before I'll be wanting to paint any furniture!!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iLfmMEmejNw/UG9cOxkFcNI/AAAAAAAACSc/fnu3q3_W0Vg/s1600/drysinkw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iLfmMEmejNw/UG9cOxkFcNI/AAAAAAAACSc/fnu3q3_W0Vg/s320/drysinkw.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
Here's a closer look at the wall above the drysink...my good friend Karen made the little doll up top as well as the bird sitting on the other side of the candlestick:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5XQYw8D_cQw/UG9chg6nbaI/AAAAAAAACSk/_eZ1vvpO5J4/s1600/drysinkwallw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5XQYw8D_cQw/UG9chg6nbaI/AAAAAAAACSk/_eZ1vvpO5J4/s320/drysinkwallw.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Another view:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AAaXrxUWJ8E/UG9dNb_0dAI/AAAAAAAACSs/hiNVRrthzMU/s1600/drysinkbedroomw.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AAaXrxUWJ8E/UG9dNb_0dAI/AAAAAAAACSs/hiNVRrthzMU/s320/drysinkbedroomw.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
My sweet little Katie always wants to be in on the action :)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-caGduPauPkA/UG9dmO8JNuI/AAAAAAAACS8/xSXrh_G0uxU/s1600/Katie100512w.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-caGduPauPkA/UG9dmO8JNuI/AAAAAAAACS8/xSXrh_G0uxU/s320/Katie100512w.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
And there you have it, our bedroom, finally! :)<br />
...have a lovely weekend!<br />

I am so ready to get on with some less stressful times and have completed my autumn decorating. If you'd like to see the pictures I took, please visit my Picture Trail here: <a href="http://www.picturetrail.com/underthewillow" target="_blank">MY PICTURE TRAIL</a><br /><br />I am STILL waiting on the Johnston Benchworks chair that I ordered for my bedroom makeover and as soon as it arrives I will do a post about that...I'm going to be offering the brown make-do chair up for sale...it was made by Pat of Olde Bittersweet Farm...I hate to part with it but when the new chair arrives it is going in its place, so if you've missed out on the chairs she's offered on her Picture Trail, let me know if you'd like this one...here's a couple pics of it in our bedroom BEFORE the makeover:<br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-WuwMTV-kbQQ/UFNUs5lL7sI/AAAAAAAACOA/3Mooiz1-smw/s1600/makedochair030511bw.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 252px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-WuwMTV-kbQQ/UFNUs5lL7sI/AAAAAAAACOA/3Mooiz1-smw/s320/makedochair030511bw.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5788063076448988866" border="0" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-d9xsjCQ60Ic/UFNUsLdX5EI/AAAAAAAACN0/oACZ7DNARco/s1600/makedochair030511aw.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 238px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-d9xsjCQ60Ic/UFNUsLdX5EI/AAAAAAAACN0/oACZ7DNARco/s320/makedochair030511aw.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5788063064068187202" border="0" /></a><br />...the fabric is a luscious solid brown linen, I have a runner laying over the back which is not included...the chair leans slightly back so you will need to set it up against a wall just to make sure it doesn't fall over backwards...Pat sells them on her Picture Trail for $295 I believe...I am asking $250 plus shipping which will be through Fedex and will cost between $50 and $75 depending on how far you are from Virginia...remember now, these 2 pics are BEFORE the bedroom makeover!...the rose carpet is gone! LOL<br /><br />In other news (LOL) I've had requests to stock resin pumpkins from The Salem Collection in my shoppe so if you've been wanting a MADE IN THE USA resin pumpkin, come and see my selection...I've also got some lovely fall florals, berries, and foliage too! <a href="http://www.winterwillowprimitives.com/" target="_blank">MY SHOPPE</a><br /><br />Ok, I think that about does it for now...I certainly hope that I will have the bedroom makeover pics to post soon!...I've been waiting for this chair since April!!...have a great weekend!<br /><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54488/227/951620B5592F464D972A0299BB14ABDE.png" style="border: 0 !important; background: transparent;" /></a><br />Janet - underthewillowhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00846772534190432655noreply@blogger.com1
